The SECURE partners in Leitrim County have organised a focus group as part of the SECURE Smarter Energy Communities project. The objective of the event was to find out more about the local buildings and the energy efficiency management.

As a result, the Hive Innovation Centre and Lough Rynn Hotel were named by most participants as the buildings considered to be using the most energy efficient technologies.

Leitrim County Council is a partner in SECURE. As part of the project, the Council worked with Leitrim LEO to get an idea from people in Mohill on how they access information on energy efficiency and renewable technologies and what buildings use very good energy efficiency technologies.
