On May 22nd - 24th, SECURE project partner Umhvørvisstovan Environment Agency, will host the fifth meeting (fourth steering committee meeting) of the project. Partners will travel to the Faroe Islands for the two-day meeting, followed by a seminar on the third day.
On the first day, partners will discuss project progress in the morning. Helena Puhakka-Tarvainen (Karelia UAS), will present an update on the transnational low carbon services directory. Furthermore, Jennie Olofsson (ALAV) will coordinate the implementation of transnational low carbon actions. Partners will then recap on project activities for the next six months. In the afternoon, partners will have the opportunity to learn about good energy practices in the Faroe Islands through a number of study visits.
On day two, each SECURE project partner will present an update on individual progress. Again, partners will have the opportunity to learn from further good energy practices with a number of site visits in the afternoon.
On the third and final day, partners will meet for the 4th seminar 'Energy Challenge - Community Solutions'. The aim of the seminar is to engage interested community reps, individuals, stakeholders, businesses, civic leaders and politicians on the theme of energy efficiency and renewables, to showcase innovative models and approaches in NPA regions, and how these can benefit other regions.
