Donegal County Council (Ireland) is inviting the public to participate in a short survey to find out more about the level of energy awareness throughout the county and to help advise on the best way to provide people with more information on saving energy costs.
This is part of the EU funded SECURE project which aims to promote greater use of energy efficient technologies and renewable energy sources and has a particular focus on innovative energy solutions for housing & public infrastructure. Paddy Mullen, Co-ordinator for the Secure Project with the Council explains that “the project is about improving energy efficiency within our communities and to do this we are keen to hear from the public on their own energy consumption, their knowledge on how best to reduce energy costs and what information they need to have in order to make greater energy savings in their own homes and businesses”. He added that “this short survey should take no longer than five minutes to complete and will provide us with valuable information that will help guide us in providing better and clearer information to the public on how to improve energy efficiency and save more on energy costs”.
The survey can be completed at www.donegalcoco.ie.
